Latitude 19*40’ North and zenith passage of Sun-Pleiades conjunction

DANIEL: The first thing that I want to bring up as a general overall theme for May: there’s been a great deal of material recently about the significance of the zone 19-20 North or South Latitude: that’s where Hawaii, the Great Pyramids, the red spot of Jupiter are located, etc… Meanwhile there is this phenomena that is a third of the cross checks for the turning of the ages, that has to do with the alignment of either the midnight zenith or the Sun directly overhead at one of the zenith days, directly overhead with the Pleiades. And this is coming up:
On May 19th the sun is conjunct the Pleiades, and the solar zenith between 19-20 degrees latitude is between May 15th-21st…

On November 20th the Sun is opposite the Pleiades, so therefore at midnight, you light a fire, and the Pleiades are directly overhead. And this is one of the cross-checks because it only happens like this at the galactic alignment, the time period we are in now. So actually, May is going to be a phenomenal ground zero time for this.

The significance of solar zenith is that for any place on the planet between 23.5* North or 23.5* South Latitude [from the Equator], equally important to solstices and equinoxes are the days of the solar zenith when there are no shadows cast [at noon]. It cannot happen where we live here, but should anyone be taking a trip to that part of the world: Hawaii, Mexico, Peru, you are in that zone & have the opportunity to directly experience this Pleiadean-Solar alignment… but there’s more: the Full Moon.

Scorpio Full Moon Opposite Pleiades

CAYELIN: On May 19th we will have the second Scorpio Full Moon. You can have two Full Moons in a sign if the first Full Moon is in the first degree, or somewhere around 0* of that sign… then you will have a second at 29 degrees, as is happening on May 19th. So we have two Scorpio Full Moons [this year]. Scorpio is the archetypal energy that has most to do with death & rebirth themes, underworld, embracing & integrating shadow pieces for the purpose of empowering us to live more wholly who we are. We had the first Scorpio Full Moon on April 20th, and the second will happen May 19. It’s also happening during these days of “no shadows”, when the Sun is conjunct the Pleiades….

DANIEL: …at exactly the opposite degree of the Pleiades, located at 29 Taurus!

CAYELIN: So this Full Moon is where the Sun will be at the next solar zenith date in November… That means you can see the part of the sky where the Full Moon is on May 19th will be the part of the Sky the Sun is in November at the second Solar Zenith.

There is at least a 3 day window for the Solar Zenith effect, because the Sun moves 1 degree a day, and the Pleiades actually span 28 Taurus- 0 Gemini. Three of the stars of the Pleiades are actually in the Sign of Gemini, so the Pleiades are straddling both the sign of Gemini and the Sign of Taurus now. The rest of stars precess into Gemini over the next few years.

DANIEL: The other factor, about the same time frame is that Venus will conjoin the Pleiades, on May 24th…. Those few degrees from 28 Taurus to 0 Gemini Venus is aligned with from May 23 to May 26 meaning that Venus (in her underworld journey) is also marking the solar zenith and again that is the third cross-check for the Turning of the Ages.

CAYELIN: As May begins, Mercury is also conjunct the Pleiades and later turns retrograde on May 26. This indicates that Mercury is heralding what will happen later this month drawing our attention to the Pleiades. Plus, Mercury is currently at best visibility in the evening sky, which is happening from April 30th- May 23rd. Then, on May 13th Mercury reaches its greatest elongation or furtherst reach from the Sun (22 degrees). Merucry is giving us the message to pay attention. Saying "Here I am with the Pleiades, pay attention to me!"

40-Year Cycle of Venus & Mercury

DANIEL: Last month on the call we were talking about our re-discovery of the 40 year cycle, that is to say the events of the spring and summer of 1968 are recapitulated in the spring and summer of 2008. What’s happening over this next month as the continuation of the exact same pattern from 40 years ago, is that on May 3, Venus descends into the Underworld, on the other side of the sun [Exterior Underworld], until the end of July. Meanwhile, during May, Mercury will be going through the Sacred Hoop, on its way to a conjunction the Sun. So Venus is in the [Exterior] Underworld at the same time that Mercury is on its way to its next retrograde cycle, going through the Hoop also.

CAYELIN: In fact, Mercury will be inside the Hoop, starting at the 1st of May as it conjuncts the Pleiades, and then due to its retrograde, does not exit the hoop until July 23rd. This means Mercury is inside the Hoop for almost 3 months.

DANIEL: I think it’s really interesting, here we have [Mercury] visible, during one of itsmost visible time periods, in between Earth & Sun, and Venus not visible in the next chapter of this every-40-year dance.

I’m inviting those interested in working with the Shamanic Astrology paradigm to do research around the events of 1968. There were so many dramatic things that happened in summer of 1968. (Google 1968, Check Newspaper Headlines and Time magazine did a special edition on 1968 last month. Now if you really want to do interesting research, 1928 was also the same Venus Mercury pattern.

Mars in Leo

Mars, which is still quite prominent in the sky is going through the Beehive constellation around May 22. This is the significant configuration in the constellation of the Crab (M44). It’s actually an eyesight test to see iif you can actually locate that fuzzy spot in the crab…

Also on May 9, after six months… in Cancer, Mars enters into Leo. That night & the next night, Moon & Mars are conjunct in the evening sky. If we think of the mythos of Mars as the evolving expression of the masculine principle of this time period, after having begun the journey in Cancer, now has his first union with the Moon in the Sign of Leo. I haven’t any idea what that would actually mean, but it’s something to tune into ceremonially, as far as these dramatic events that are happening in May.

CAYELIN: …going back to the Beehive Cluster, one thing to note is that you can’t see it unless your are under a dark night sky. So it may not be that you have bad eyesight, but rather too much light pollution. It is very faint even under a dark clear sky.

Moon Conjunctions & Occultations

DANIEL: Meanwhile as we continue this investigation of what we see in the sky, some aesthetically beautiful configurations will be taking place. On May 9, the Moon makes a nice little triangle with Pollux and Mars. Over the next couple of days, Mars, Pollux, Castor, and Moon make an arc… and a couple days later you can see a tiny 3.5 degree exact triangle of Moon, Saturn and Regulus.

CAYELIN: It happens to be a first quarter Moon as well… a time when the Moon is half full, balanced between light and dark. After the first quarter we start noticing how rapidly the Moon increases in light. So it tends to be an accelaration time, accelerating whatever it is that’s being activated. Having Moon over Regulus & Saturn in first quarter shows acceleration of something that’s going on at that time….

DANIEL: One of the things you’ve been inspired to do a lot of research on, Cayelin, is occultations. The Full Moon is in some parts of the world is occulting Antares, and also their is a Moon occulation over Mars on May 9th… visible in some parts of the world.

CAYELIN: …we won’t be able to see it where we are. … but on May 20th we will see the Moon rising closely aligned with Antares.

DANIEL: …the last event we just did at Gael’s, around midnight a number of the group got to see the grazing occultation of the Moon and Mars. Which really caused quite a profound effect on the awareness of the people who saw it. This is the type of experience that assists us in perceiving the phenomena that are continually updating the Shamanic Astrology paradigm based on how the constellations inform the evolutionary experience of the signs. This is esepcially interesting when you get to see the Moon doing a grazing occultation of Mars. This was happening inside the constellation of the Twins last month. In May Mars & the Moon will have gone past the Hoop, so the occultation is outside the Hoop. It’s quite a profoundly beautiful thing to get to see.

… so, the idea here is that there will be a Full Moon with Antares. If we use this paradigm that all of these events can be perceived from 3 levels: the celestial world, the middle world & the underworld, you can come up with a lot of scenarios that would be middle world or underworld with that configuration….

North Node-Chiron-Neptune

CAYELIN: the whole entire month of May the North Node (NN) is very close to Neptune, making an exact conjunction on May 4th, and moves less than a degree for the entire month.

On June 2,the NN is conjunct Chiron, also very close the entire month of May and into June. Chiron is an underworld planet, Neptune a celestial planet, and the NN has to do with humanity’s destiny [a middle world factor]… We’re now coming to the time of the exact conjunctions of all three.

DANIEL: We’ve been presaging this for the last few months, Neptune, North Node & Chiron in their dance together. Hopefully we can now perceive Chiron not so much as an underworld aspect but as a teacher. A great number of people I know… are having a great deal of middle and under world experiences but not necessarily celestial. I’m seeing this as a welcome reminder that everything is happening just as it should…
Chiron is there with the NN and Neptune to remind us of that, in what otherwise could be looked at as ever-increasing intensities and challenges to our Mother.

Saturn Station Direct

CAYELIN: The other thing that’s happening right as the month begins is Saturn stationing direct on May 2, just about a degree and a half from Regulus. The alchemists saw Regulus as a Behenian Star or one of the magical stars for producing maximum alchemy whenever there are planets within 6 degrees of these stars there power was considered to be magnified. Regulus is the heart of the Lion, so this Timing is working with that heart energy. We also have the occultation of Antares, the heart of the Scorpion [as discussed above] happening later in the month as Saturn is continuing its dance with Regulus, which will last until the first couple weeks of July, when it moves beyond 6 degrees.

DANIEL: An interesting note — I’m in my second Saturn Return & have had lots of clients who have important configurations in the zone 0-6 Virgo or other mutable signs. I have pretty overwhelmingly presented, as a model of interpretation, that when Saturn goes direct, coming up in the first week of May, it represents a point for an actional, “full speed ahead” time. Those of us with planets in the early degrees of mutable signs, it’s like being inside a large lead cauldron, and within that cauldron, the base elements are being transformed into gold. What I’m suggesting and optimistically perceiving from the alchemist’s perspective is during the beginning of May is when the cauldron crumbles; the work of alchemy will have taken place, and it will be full speed ahead for those within the influence of that Saturn cycle, which has been pretty strong.

CAYELIN: it’s happening as we approach the New Moon at the Cross Quarter, the exact astrological cross-quarter being when the sun reaches 15 Taurus, halfway between the Spring Equinox (0 Aries) & Summer Solstice (0 Cancer)… whenever the Sun reaches 15 degrees of the signs of self-interest [Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, & Aquarius], it is that halfway point between the seasonal solar gateways. [The cross quarters] were seen as highly important to Celtic and other cultures… celebrating them often for a whole week or from New Moon to Full Moon or from Full Moon to New Moon… interestingly, we have an exact New Moon on this cross quarter at 15 Taurus.

DANIEL:…Followed by that Full Moon at 29 Scorpio… so it’s just exactly capturing that last 15 degree portion there.

Retrograde Stations

CAYELIN: Jupiter stations retrograde on May 9th at 22*22’ Capricorn. Mercury & Neptune both station retrograde on May 26th. When there are planets shifting directions, especially the visible ones, it creates a shift in our experience as well. I think of retrogrades as the process of pulling an arrow back on a bow… it looks like it’s moving backwards, but what it is doing is gathering strength and gathering power.

DANIEL: Right at the center of the retrograde passage is a birthing where a new archetype relative to that sign is taking shape. In June, the new cycle of Mercury has a Gemini overtone, considered to be the “master” overtone for Mercury (this is closest thing we in Shamanic Astrology will say to the traditional rulership scheme of astrology).

CAYELIN: Another insight of Shamanic Astrology is that when retrogrades are closest to Earth and brightest, they are in a place of greatest strength, rather than weakened. This is a different way of looking at it than traditional astrology.

Summary

CAYELIN: So we have the Cross-Quarter with the New Moon, the “days of no shadow” with the Full Moon, and this two week time period in between [May 5th – 19th]… where the Moon will be with Mars, Castor & Pollux, Saturn, Regulus, Spica, and then Full, and then on to Antares. So there’s this amazing energy happening… during this two week window worth noting, and doing your ceremonies and energizing your intentions.

DANIEL: if we go back to the celestial, the alignment of Neptune with the NN is actually something that goes on for a while, not just this month.

CAYELIN: Their exact conjunction is May 4th, at the cross-quarter time. And it’s really a 3 day window.

DANIEL: The feeling I’m getting is one of extreme contrast: Venus in Underworld at same time as the Neptune-NN conjunction, Saturn stationing direct, and Jupiter turning retrograde all in the same month. Also that amazing contrast between Full Moon with Antares at the time of no shadow, and some of these other symbols are very much about the Underworld and the shadow aspect. This is the most contrast I have seen in a long time.

DANIEL: Most overwhelming to me when I’m trying to bring in every paradigm of the last 10,000 years is the solar zenith-Pleiadean situation. It’s so exciting it makes me want to get to Hawaii before that, especially since I found out that the native Hawaiian civilizations honored the zenith in the same way that the Incas and Mayans did…

CAYELIN: John Major Jenkins talks about the 72 year window of the Sun-Pleiades conjunction… from 1976 to 2048. So 2012 is right in the middle. Also, in 2012 there is a solar eclipse at the same time as the conjunction, on May 20th. That seems to be another major indicator…

DANIEL: So if you happen to be around 19 to 20 degrees North Latitude on that particular da in 2012, the Sun will be conjunct the Pleiades, and there will be a [solar] eclipse: during the middle of the day, meaning you can also see the Pleiades during the eclipse! If there’s anything more dramatic than this, I don’t know what it is…

CAYELIN: Another thing is that as Venus is going into the Underworld, she is exactly halfway between her transits over the face of the sun in 2004 and 2012. We are exactly 4 years, halfway there to the next Venus transit, with Venus going into the Underworld at the halfway point….

DANIEL: In reference to this huge contrast between the Celestial and the Underworld — when we speak of the Underworld, what is happening is the planet is actually blinded by the light because of how near it is to the Sun.

I’m reminded of a favorite political commentator — Sometimes if you go so far right, you end up meeting someone who’s made a left turn. There’s a way that the far right and left come together. Well, there’s a place where the extreme celestial and the extreme underworld meet, which is blinded by the light… how different is that than total darkness? They are the same thing.

Additional Commentary

DANIEL: [regarding the 40 year cycle]: I just wrote an article about the obvious events of 1968 Including the assisination of Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy and the problems with the Democratic convention, with the police riots and all. Anyone my age remembers how intense, on all levels, 1968 was.

For those who want to know more I suggest going to the library and checking out old NY Times articles, you can get any date from 1968…
Musically, scientifically, culturally, 1968 was important. And very different from 1967. In 1968 the Uranian, Neptunian & Plutonian energy all maxed out at the same time.

History does in a sense repeat itself, but there is no reason it has to do it the same way that it did then. [The synodic cycles of Mercury & Venus are the same, but the outer planets are in different configurations.]

We are the ones who are bargaining with spirit. We are the Spirit Lawyers so to speack. All these other things have happened…. But let’s be creative about a solution to this.
If we remember who we’re working for, including the Earth, and the Circle of Grandmothers, we may very well be receiving all the support we could ever conceive of receiving.

Mercury-Venus Conjunction

DANIEL: the entire month of March has a rare, unusually long lasting dance between Mercury & Venus, in the morning sky. They are together within 2 degrees essentially through the whole month of March, very low on the horizon in the morning sky.
[At the beginning of] the month, the conjunction of Venus & Mercury in the morning sky, [also joins] with Neptune. Of course, you won’t see Neptune but they’re all together, including an amazing thing we’ll talk more about regarding March 5.

Later in the month Venus and Mercury conjunct Uranus. This is indicating from the inner planet perspective what the larger story is with the mutual reception between Neptune and Uranus… Neptune being in Aquarius and Uranus being in Pisces is one of the larger themes for what’s happening with planetary humanity at this particular point. It also could be seen that what is happening in the early part of the month is a precursor to what will be the really important events of April: the triple conjunction of Chiron, North Node, and Neptune in Aquarius.

Occultation at Venus Gate
On March 5th, something extremely unusual is taking place: the next Venus-Moon conjunction, gate number one, the First Chakra initiation [of Venus and Moon] in the morning sky… The Moon will be occulting both Venus, Mercury… and Neptune…The occultation of Venus is visible in North America. The occultation of Mercury will be seen in South America…. So it’s such a tight conjunction it involves an occultation. Sometimes an entire year can go by without occultation of a planet.

CAYELIN: an entire year can go by and then all of a sudden one day we have the Moon occulting three planets …
DANIEL: ..For a first chakra initiation, it’s occurring with a highlight on Neptune…

Again it’s a precursor for next month and this larger theme of Neptune in Aquarius, Uranus in Pisces, that I’ll speak more of in a while.

CAYELIN: We think of the Moon as a transmitter, and as it’s covering each planet it’s like the [most] direct transmission possible, coming to the Earth at that particular time as it’s covering and uncovering the planet or the star.

The sense I have is it’s like an instant transmission of the current celestial codes or information, especially considering Neptune is a Celestial World planet. When we’re open to that, stepping outside of rational, linear reality and just allowing ourselves to be open to whatever that information is, coming in, then we can help to anchor that in our consciousness and awareness.

Descent of Inanna

DANIEL: the other story line that is activated and in the background of everything we’re talking about is the dance of Venus on her way to the underworld. We are about two months away from her entrance to the underworld, and one of the old storylines on this is that on her way to the underworld she is met by Mercury. And so Mercury is transmitting celestial high witness consciousness to her as she makes her descent into the underworld this summer.

CAYELIN: in the story of Inanna, she asks Mercury (Ninshubar) for assistance, to rescue her if she doesn’t come back. Also in that story, the gate she goes through [a.k.a. first gate] is known as the Gate of Manifestation, according to the translation of the Sumerian myth.
DANIEL: what happens in this case at gate #1 is there are two first gates, including the eighth one [8th Moon-Venus conjunction of the morning star phase] which is called Death by Intent. It’s intriguing that Mercury is hanging out with her for the entire month as she prepares for the Death by Intent gate in early April….

CAYELIN:… in 2004 there was a Venus transit over the face of the Sun and a lot was written about that then. Especially from the perspective of the Mayan calendar and what their understanding of the implications when Venus transits the Sun.

It had been 122 years since the last Venus transit until the one in 2004… 8 years after that there’s a second Venus transit in June of 2012. We are now at the halfway point of that in 2008. I was thinking of this in relation to how, more often than not, there’s 8 Moon-Venus conjunctions, 8 gates. If we’re halfway through at year 4, looking at one day equals one year for progressions then if one year is connected to the gates of Venus we are at the heart of this eight year divine feminine journey.

DANIEL: In 2004 and 2012, Venus is transiting in front of, across the face of the Sun. In June of this year, half way, Venus is in the underworld on the other side of the sun. This is the maximum underworld initiation prior to the 2012.

CAYELIN: so that makes more sense with Mercury and Venus dancing together so closely through the whole month of March – as it indicates a really important preparation for the underworld transit.

New Mars Cycle

DANIEL: the other thing that is happening… right at the point of this Venus-Moon conjunction, the first [Root] Chakra gate, is that on 3rd,4th, 5th of March is when Mars reaches 0 Cancer – the galactic edge, right smack in the middle of the hoop. So Mars is at a point of major reception [with the Moon], transmission, birthing… and Mars at that point will be beginning his journey, the 9, 10, or 11 Labors of Mars. This results in the very powerful Mars-Moon conjunction (Labor 1 of the Mars cycle), at midnight on March 14th. Mars and the Moon are 1 degree from each other. So the Mars cycle is very strongly active during this next lunation.

CAYELIN: the other thing to note is that Mars is still out of bounds (out of bounds from the maximum declination that the sun can go, at the solstices) and Mars is at 26* North, moving back into Cancer. It’s been as far out as 28, and it’s starting to move back in, but is still out of bounds. The last time we had one this close was in 1960 (that far out of bounds near the solstice).

DANIEL: It would have been 32 years ago too, when Mars at the same time of year was occulting that star in Gemini [Mebsuta], so it would have been 32 years ago, 1976….

On March 30th, Mars will reach its quadrature (90 degree separation from Sun), so Mars will be directly overhead at sunset. It’s a repeat of the pattern 32 years ago, when there was exact occultation of Mars [over the star Mebsuta] in the constellation of the Twins… and it’s very close this year…. That’s part of advanced research to tune into what was happening 32 years ago, because both Venus and Mars are at the same point currently as they were 32 years ago.

CAYELIN: and in 1976, it was at 0 Cancer on March 18th, and Venus was at 3 Pisces. And interestingly, Mercury wasn’t as close then…

DANIEL: Mercury doesn’t track the same pattern. One of the discoveries I got in an astronomy magazine… is that every 32 years Venus and Mars will track their pattern together at the same time. It would be interesting to compare newspaper headlines from 1976 to those now, and target the parallels.

Saturn Opposition

DANIEL: we’re only so far talking about the visible phemonena taking place here. Continuing with that theme, it turns out there’s something tonight, Feb. 24th. Tonight, look at Saturn in the evening sky, directly overhead at midnight…. Therefore, the Sun is opposite Saturn. So Saturn will be dominant in the night, and this is the one day of the year for exact opposition of Saturn and the Sun…

I hope you all got to see the eclipse. I was in Mexico and it was totally clear. We got to see the entire eclipse for almost an hour of totality. How this relates to the Saturn opposition is that the eclipse point was almost 2 Virgo, and so that’s basically what’s happening with Saturn, hanging out close to the star Regulus for the entire month of March.

CAYELIN: it stations [direct] May 2 very close to Regulus.

DANIEL: we still have an emphasis on Regulus and it turns out that on March 19th the Moon will occult Regulus. So we’re still in a phase of having these major occultations, due to where the Moon is right now.

Vernal Equinox Full Moon

CAYELIN: We’re going to have a Full Moon very close to the Equinox this year. For people in the Mountain time zone and Pacific, the Equinox will happen late on the 19th. EST and further east it will be on the 20th. The Full Moon will be March 21st at 1*31’ Libra, and Pluto is right there in exact square at 1*31’ Capricorn. So Pluto is squaring the Sun & Moon [at the Full Moon] at the time of the Equinox. This tells us it is going to be a really powerful transformative Equinox window…
At the equinox the Sun is tracking over the equator of the Earth lowering the Earth’s magnetic field. There’s a book on the Golden Dawn ceremonies, and they consider that as a time to access other-dimensional realms more easily, and they do some of their most important ceremonies at this time. Interestingly, we’re going to have this Full Moon happening at the same time, also tracking over the equator at the same time the Sun is magnifying the whole effect.

DANIEL: one of the things I discovered in doing research on Native American calendars is, part of the project of humanity over the last thousands of years, how to integrate lunar and solar cycles. Whenever there would be a New or Full Moon close to the turning points of the solar cycle, that would be considered a really huge ceremonial time.

A New or Full Moon near the Equinox would be just Major. In fact, that’s one of the few times that we have a clear symbol of the turning of the age…. There would be a New Moon or Full Moon within the horns of the Bull [this would have been during the age of the Bull]… which is where Mars is, currently. These are great symbols for the nature of the time that we are in.

CAYELIN: think about some of the places that have been built to track Equinoxes and Solstices, for example in Tucson there is a Sun circle, and the Sun will rise up through a certain window and cast a window of light on the opposite wall of the circle. What’s going to happen is, in a couple days, the Moon will rise in that window too. If you have a place you can see this, you will see how the two are rising in exactly the same place.

DANIEL: which is exactly the opposite of certain solstice windows, in fact it happens again this year, where the greatest extreme will take place, the Sun & Moon at opposite extremes. Now, in this case at the Equinox, they are both coming up in the same place.

CAYELIN: …either the Sun is coming up farthest north and Moon farthest south, or vice versa [at the solstices]. But because the equinoxes come up in the exact same place [that is, the intersection of the ecliptic and the celestial equator at the due east point], it doesn’t matter if it’s Aries or Libra, it rises in the same place [on the horizon].

DANIEL: how rare that is, because you can have the Sun exactly rising east, and the Moon could be somewhere way off. But in this case [due to the Full Moon] it’s rising in exactly the same place [on the horizon]

Uranus-Neptune Mutual Reception

DANIEL: One of the things we’ve seen in Shamanic Astrology is that you can get the same information by putting emphasis on the outer invisible planets or whether you translate it out to the visible planets… they say the same thing.

It’s one of the interesting phenomena of our time, Uranus moving through Pisces and Neptune moving through Aquarius, which provides a theme structure that is also captured by Venus & Mercury together, first in Aquarius and then in Pisces, with these planets that you can’t see.

It’s a theme structure of a completely new take, new paradigm, on how we can help and heal anyone. So the best of Aquarius merges with the best of Pisces. What do I mean by that? The best of Aquarius is having that detachment of seeing things from a higher view and giving whoever is suffering permission to have their own predicament. Not “taking it on”.

The best of Pisces is being able to experience and feel into the sorrow and grief that is taking place. The more I think about this, the more I am aware of the fact that the ability to experience grief and sorrow personally is really no different than being able to experience love. It’s really the same human experience of aliveness and mortality.

Too much Pisces is like… remember the Bill Clinton “I feel your pain”? Too much Pisces is “I am your pain”. Too much Aquarius is just too cold and too detached. “It’s all perfect just the way it is.” Put them together, you have a new healing paradigm.

CAYELIN: Sometimes Pisces feels like they need to do something about it, to fix it, transform it, heal it, take it on. But genuinely operating in a healthy way, it’s just about feeling it and letting it be what it needs to be, not making it something different.

DANIEL: but at the same time, empathically being able to actually feel the grief and suffering, not being somehow only in the celestial state of detachment and not being fully human.

It would seem to me the Mercury-Venus dance all month is part of the First Chakra initiation for Venus, is the transmission of these higher values that come from the union of Aquarius and Pisces being transmitted to her before she disappears into the underworld in May.

Saturn-Pluto Trine

Another important thing in March and April is the trine between Pluto and Saturn. More exact in April, but way close enough in March as a background energy for what’s taking place.

We discussed on the 2008 perspective about the Saturn-Jupiter trine, which is going to happen 3 times this year, but March and April, the emphasis is on Saturn- Pluto. All three are involved in this trine energy all year–Jupiter & Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Virgo… It’s also emphasizing that gateway as highlighted by the eclipse we just went through, that area of 1-2 Virgo very close to Regulus.

Occultations of Regulus

We’re thinking of that a lot today, I was just doing a workshop on the mystery schools, and we were talking about Leo, the heart of the Lion, as the symbol of autonomy and sovereignty, the royalty of the Self. Not just the transcendent self, but our personalness as human beings: that has royalty, sacredness, a connection to the divine, which is now being highlighted by the placement of Saturn.

There are also a number of occultations, three days ago the Moon [occulted] Regulus. In some parts of the world, during the eclipse they saw the occultation… in South America.

March 19th will be the next one, Moon over Regulus, close to Saturn again. There will be no lunar occultation of Saturn itself this year, but pretty close.

CAYELIN: This is significant… because the occultations of Regulus happen because of the Moon in its lunar standstill phase, being farther out in declination. This causes an increase in occulations over Regulus….

Saturn can only be with Regulus every 28-29 years. So the 19 year cycle of the lunar standstill Moon is connecting with the cycle of Saturn in a “this world” activation (Saturn being visible in this world) and Regulus being one of the Behenian magical stars that is activated when a planet is within 6 degrees. Saturn is magnifying the power of Regulus, the heart of the Lion. Then the Moon occultations further amplify the whole thing.

DANIEL: the more you get into the naked eye astronomy, we call that sacred astronomy, the more you can see the strength and importance of the connection to magic, using occultations as a time to amplify intention, prayer, meditation, ceremony.

CAYELIN: and being able to see the eclipse of the Moon right between Saturn and Regulus was calling our attention to the importance of what is going on with Saturn and Regulus.

Passage of a Teacher

CAYELIN: Daniel & I were both involved with transcendental meditation in our past lives, and Maharishi Mahesh Yogi who was the founder of Transcendental Meditation (TM) movement died on Feb. 5th, in the window just before the eclipse happened. I happened to stumble across a message that he sent, when he was retiring from his work as the founder of the TM movement, in January.

His message was, “I’m done, I’m complete”. He said he was expressing his delight that the world for all millennia would be a happy world, he felt his work was done, the world was now in a place of invincibility, and we are going to have a happy world. I was sharing this with Daniel and he said, “that’s great for a triple Capricorn”!

DANIEL: I had an opportunity when I was involved with that movement to see his chart, and it was a pretty stunning signature, of triple Capricorn. It’s interesting that he chose to leave, just as Pluto moved into Capricorn.

CAYELIN: And right at the eclipse window. I was talking about it to Daniel and was like, “Oh My God, it’s a window that opened for him, he decided that his work was done and off he went.” He had already given his message that whatever he was here to do to raise consciousness… was done and in place, and now he could go.
DANIEL: He was 94…. In the last 20 years he had become very disgruntled. He was actually suing governments for not doing more to implement spiritual programs. So for him to feel that way as a triple Capricorn, right as Pluto goes into Capricorn, was a really important externalization of what we’re seeing in these aspect patterns.

CAYELIN: In a way, it’s giving information about what’s really going on with Pluto in Capricorn, so we can pay attention.

The Circle of Grandmothers

DANIEL: I mentioned that what’s happening in the first part of this February, with Mercury and Venus with Neptune in Aquarius, is a precursor for March, when Neptune-NN-Chiron are together… there is the larger story, since [Venus & Mercury] move through Pisces later in the month, of outer planet mutual reception bringing in the celestial dimension….

We’re having a remarkable transmission of the celestial, both the Piscean and Aquarian version of mutual reception being transmitted into the Goddess as she prepares to make her journey into the underworld. It’s the ability to look at things from the perspective of the high witness, to bring the celestial dimension into the mundane.

When I was in Mexico, I gave several presentations and virtually everyone was older than me…. Mainly 60-70 year old women. When I spoke about the Circle of Grandmothers, and Saturn in Virgo and Pluto [and Jupiter] in Capricorn is the necessity of bringing in that energy, an insight was presented by one of the grandmothers in the circle, who had Aquarius rising.

She suggested that at this time in history, there are way many more women who are conscious that are in their 60s and 70s. In more recent times, it was rare, due to mortality and other things, for such a high proportion of women who could actually be in the circle of grandmothers… This is a higher octave Aquarian dispensation. Leo says “I am God”, but Aquarius says “we all are”. Like esoteric Christianity would say “we are all the second coming.” So instead of 12 or 13 grandmothers, now there are so many women who are grandmothers sharing their insights…. All the grandmothers come together and say “this is what needs to happen on the planet”,..

CAYELIN: In Tucson they have the Desert Crones that meet on a monthly or bimonthly basis … It is open to all women 50 or over. They get together to celebrate their wisdom and how they can share it with the community…

DANIEL: there’s a grand multiplication of the circles of grandmothers everywhere…

CAYELIN: a lot of the women who are reaching their 50s, 60s and 70s now are reaching it with a greater self-love and appreciation for who they are and what they have to offer to the world.

DANIEL:… and there are so many more of you (women reaching these ages!

CAYELIN: And we highly encourage everyone, if you get a chance to see the Venus-Moon and Mars-Moon conjunctions, to go out and see them…. It will be worth the visual and seeing what you get as a direct transmission….

First Eclipse Season of 2008

DANIEL: this will include both a solar eclipse (fairly minor, only visible in New Zealand and Antarctica) and that will be followed by an extremely central and powerful lunar eclipse visible in North & South America, as the 2 events in this eclipse season; the first eclipse (solar eclipse) happening at the new moon, on Feb. 6, Wednesday night, and the lunar eclipse, which certainly is a very high night of ceremony, is on Wednesday night Feb. 20th.

We’ve discovered lots of very interesting things about both of those eclipse portals. These two super new & full moons (a lunar eclipse is a super full moon and a solar eclipse is a super new moon) are both occurring in pretty close alignment with planetary conjunctions and oppositions. On Feb. 10th, just a few days after the solar eclipse, the Neptune conjunct Sun point of the year at 22 Aquarius.

The solar eclipse is at 17*44’ Aquarius. Neptune is very close to that whole eclipse event.

I can throw into the mix that the lunar eclipse (the super full-moon) is very strongly related to the Saturn-Sun opposition on Feb. 24th. The one time of the year that Saturn and Sun are at opposition, when Saturn is visible in the evening sky all night, that is at 5-6 Virgo. The eclipse is at 1*53’ Virgo. So Saturn will be very close.

Cayelin & I were talking about the proximity to one of the stars that has been associated with the unfolding drama of the last couple of years: Fomalhaut.

Anything to add Cayelin?

CAYELIN: just a reminder that the particular star Fomalhaut was highly featured in the lunar eclipse of late August, last year. It’s one of the 4 royal stars, it’s the 17th brightest star in the sky. The 4 royal stars are in the constellations that are connected to the Galactic Alignment.

The Twins and the Bull mark the constellations of the galactic edge, and the Archer and the Scorpion mark the galactic center. Fomalhaut, which is in the constellation Pisces Austrinis, is connected to the South Galactic Pole. Regulus, in the Lion, is connected tot he North Galactic Pole. So it’s on the galactic plane, either the poles or the plane. Those particular stars are the key stars for those constellations and the galactic energies.

DANIEL: If one was to not be interested in using the galactic alignment information – the equinoxes and solstices in alignment with the galactic plane – then, the way one would work these mysteries would be to see what’s happening with those 4 stars. In our recent workshop we had a teaching on that: how it relates to the prophecies in Ezekiel and Daniel and Revelations. When those 4 stars are again in alignment with the solstices and equinoxes, and the events of the last year have been highlighting those stars quite amazingly, including another occultation at the beginning of the month…

CAYELIN: Antares is being occulted 10 times this year [by the Moon] and this is the second one, as it was already occulted in January, and will be again on Feb. 1. So, another  activation. It was only occulted 3 or 4 times last year. So it’s featured again this year…. Not necessarily visible where we are, but somewhere on the planet they are experiencing the Moon going over Antares.

DANIEL: If you remember at the solstice event, how close the Moon came to…[Mars]. There are certain places where there would have been occultation. But it wasn’t, where we were. But it’s close enough to be an occultation somewhere on the planet. And that’s a rare event. It only happens in certain portions of the cycle.

Venus-Jupiter conjunction

DANIEL: So, we have as a larger context, this eclipse season, there are two of them per year, but there’s plenty else going on here. So, we actually start with the beginning of the month, the highlight on the morning of Feb. 1, Venus conjunct Jupiter, less than 1 degree apart. On that morning you can see both of them in the same field of the binocular, it’s the closest planetary conjunction between those two until 2014. Very, very high up in the morning sky. And part of these calls is to highlight what is visually, experientially available.

The eclipse is high up on the list but the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter is really major. That’s a combination of the two planets that traditionally have been the benefactors, in expansion and radiant abundance, expanding whatever it’s in conjunction with. And the conjunction is happening at 10 Capricorn. So therefore it seems to be tied into larger themes developing during this year:

Jupiter in Capricorn, plus Pluto having just a few days ago ingressed into Capricorn, and Venus also in Capricorn…. And, highlighting big-time, the first of 3 Saturn-Jupiter trines with Venus being involved. So I look at it in combination with the lunar and solar eclipse, and particularly the solar eclipse, given that the solar eclipse is a NN eclipse, as a real initiation point of bringing in the “New Capricorn”.

CAYELIN: If we consider that the Venus conjunction with Jupiter, Venus the Divine Feminine, and Capricorn being an archetype that was usurped by patriarchy, maybe this is an opportunity to energize more of the feminine energy associated with Capricorn.

DANIEL: Without question. The fact that the new moon solar eclipse is happening in Aquarius, and the primary function of Aquarius, relative to the other Signs, is to revolutionize Capricorn, to overthrow it, but not in the old way like Saturn devouring his children, or “the king is dead, long live the king,” but actually the re-birthing of the Circle of Grandmothers. We’ve talked about that a lot, and it’s the central meaning of all these planets moving through Capricorn, particularly the outer planets – the revisioning of our whole understanding of Capricorn… to being a management and wisdom and North point on the medicine wheel Feminine function. And I don’t mean just women…. There are plenty of men who also are in alignment with and work for the Circle of Grandmothers.

So, that’s a tremendous seeding point or initiatory point for the energies of 2008.

CAYELIN: If we reconsider too that Venus and Jupiter come back together in Capricorn on Dec. 1, 10-11 months later, this is the beginning of what’s being seeded. Something’s going to develop during the year, and then they come back together again and we see where we’re at, what’s been energized and brought into manifestation at the end of the year.

Venus-Moon conjunction

DANIEL: Also in early February, the next Venus Gate is at 10 Capricorn!

 2nd chakra, 5th gate of current Venus cycle: Feb. 4th. So we actually have the same themes being described by the outer planets as well as by the primary visible experiential ceremonial points, like the Venus-Moon conjunction.

CAYELIN: If you go to Sky & Telescope website, they have sky maps of Venus & Jupiter together at the end of the month January 30th, a degree & a half apart… and then on Feb. 4th where the Moon will be in relationship to them. I’m posting them on Celestial Timings as well, but you can look at it there.

DANIEL: it’s probably gonna be so beautiful that it’s the kind of thing to source the flag of a new country….

CAYELIN: The website gives you a sense of what it looks like in the sky… it’s cool to see the map, but more highly recommended is to actually go and see it. I was talking to someone who saw the Venus-Moon conjunction last month and they didn’t know why, but they woke up early in the morning and had to go look at it. She said she doesn’t know what it means but she felt compelled to see it, it was very beautiful and inspired her…. So, I think often it’s beyond language or understanding through the mental process…. But when you visually see, there’s a download or transmission that can come through, beyond language.

DANIEL: and the emphasis here would be on the inspiration and activation of 2nd chakra…. However it is we view that: desire, life force, sexuality, fecundity…

CAYELIN: abundance…value, how we value ourselves

DANIEL: And then, since Jupiter will be there too, it’s the combination of the expansive qualities in the Sign of Capricorn, being revolutionized by Aquarius. One thing that occurred to me as I was researching this upcoming month is the primary themes of March & April are the triple alignment of Neptune, Chiron, and NN.

So we’ve got this situation with the annular eclipse super new moon on Feb. 6th followed by Neptune conjunct Sun on the 10th, an initiatory energy or precursor for March & April, when there is that progressive visionary celestial combination of the teacher-healer [Chiron], the destination point of humanity [North Node], and the celestial itself by way of Neptune in Aquarius.

CAYELIN: So going back to Feb. 4th with the Venus-Moon conjunction with Jupiter, what’s also happening is the cross-quarter, the Sun is at 15 Aquarius, the cross-quarter between the winter solstice and the spring equinox. So, the Sun when it reaches 15 degrees of the fixed signs is always the cross-quarter of the solstices and equinoxes, and significant itself. But also that day Chiron is conjunct the Sun…. so it’s part of the precursor for March & April. On Feb. 4th Chiron and Sun are conjunct. Chiron, Neptune and NN are already close together, but by March and April they are much closer…

Imbolc

DANIEL: Cayelin, in your research and ceremonial experience, what do you think the essence is of this particular cross-quarter?

CAYELIN: I would say there’s a lot coming in around the divine feminine with that Venus-Jupiter-Moon conjunction right at the cross-quarter.

DANIEL: a prelude to Beltane and the Summer Solstice, an increase in the feminine.

 For those who don’t know, the secular remnant of the sacred cross-quarter ceremony in the old days is Groundhog Day. That’s what shows up in the US as the remnant …

CAYELIN: Candlemas. Also in the Celtic traditions it’s the time called the “stirring of the seeds.” Whatever seeds were planted at winter solstice are starting to shake and move, break open. This is what Aquarius does, it goes breaks out of the old structure, the old form to establish new territory and start moving into expression in a new way. The stirring of the seeds at the cross-quarter is another way they looked at that energy.

Mars Direct Station in Sacred Hoop

DANIEL: Now, another theme for the month is Mars. I had the opportunity in Sedona to do a night sky presentation, and one of the really most visually impactful things happening right now is Mars between the horns of the Bull. There’s the stars inside the Sacred Hoop, close to the galactic edge… Mars is about to finish its retrograde motion, right there in between the horns of the Bull.

Whenever a planet, or the Moon, or the Sun would be there, that’s a marker for a turning of the age. It was the central symbol of the turning of the ages used by the Egyptians, 6000 years ago. The iconography of the Sun or Moon between the horns of the Bull. Now, Mars is there, I think it’s on the 30th of January that Mars turns direct, and all through February, Mars will be slowly moving toward the exact galactic edge. It doesn’t occur until early March.

All through February, Mars is slowly inching from 24 to 29 Gemini. It’s one of the most brilliant and amazing visual indicators in the sky. So we’re at the point just before Mars begins the active quest. He’s meeting with allies, planning the council, preparing for the quest of the next 2 years, the Mars archetype Cancer being developed & explored across the world stage. So we’re in a very seminal time as far as what Mars is coming up with at this point.

CAYELIN: Yes, indeed we saw the Moon right there during the Night Sky Class at the Winter Solstice event …in between the horns of the Bull and we pondered how it is representing the beginning of a new cycle.

DANIEL: So it’s a Mars emphasis of that particular alignment. Again the Moon will be there on the night of Feb. 15th. That should be interesting –the Moon & Mars will be together at the galactic edge, right in the middle of the hoop, right in between first quarter and full. So it won’t be so bright as to obscure everything, but a fairly bright Moon will be there with Mars. That will be one of the central…. We’re still in that lunar standstill window, so the intensity and expansion of that, particularly with reference to the incoming of new energies of creation, the night of Feb. 15th-16th, right smack in the middle of the eclipse season. That’s a really good night to be outside under the sky, also.

Several things we could speculate on with Mars in the final phase of preparation for full-speed ahead, the quest for Cancer: 2 totally different interpretations you could give to it. One is the conservative traditional interpretation, and that is historically, Mars in Cancer is a holding-on to the 1950s fantasy or nuclear family with traditional roles of husband-provider and wife-mother, in somewhat of a traditional Christian view… holding on to that… making that continue to happen, as if that’s what the Creator desires for all time.

Then there’s the progressive interpretation: the evolving of the masculine into a version of masculinity that personally provides nourishment for the benefit of the 7 generations to follow, but being open to the transmissions that come from Aquarius, and also the way we are revisioning Virgo and Capricorn – the Circle of Grandmothers and the Mother Earth herself… so what would the masculine with Mars in Cancer do if it was in service to the Grandmothers and the Earth, as opposed to being in service to some father God? That’s the inquiry, in my opinion.

When we get to March & April we’ll talk more about it, as Mars begins the 12 labors, going through the challenges of the new Mars in Cancer. But it’s a tremendous boost, very inspiring and optimistic that this particular portion of the quest has Venus, the Goddess, together with Jupiter.

CAYELIN: Opposite, in Capricorn.

Mercury Overtone Aquarius

CAYELIN: Mercury will be going direct in Feb. It’s about to go retrograde in the next few days, on Monday. It’s felt like it’s been retrograde all month.

DANIEL: I’ve had so many people tell me that it already feels like Mercury retrograde. It’s blamed for so many things…. There are so many other things we can look at here that refer to the scrambling of how we perceive things…

CAYELIN: That’s true, but Mercury has already made its first conjunction with Neptune, and two more will happen during the retrograde and the direct, so that’s part of it, in terms of adding the confusion factor. …

Mercury will conjunct the Sun Feb. 6th, beginning the new Mercury cycle in Aquarius. This year, all of the Mercury cycles will be in Air Signs. It goes direct on the 18th, just as the Sun is going into Pisces. If you have planets in the degrees of the retrograde you will feel this…. It’s retrograde at 24 Aquarius and going back to 8 Aquarius. So if you have any planets that happen to be in those degrees, Mercury is crossing over 3 times…

DANIEL: It’s interesting that the conjunction of the rebirth of Mercury on Feb. 6th is at 17 Aquarius, near the cross-quarter, and part of the drama we were describing earlier of the precursor to the Aquarian alignment in March & April…

The degree of the previous Mercury-Sun conjunction was 0 Scorpio….

[added thought from Kevin: this new Aquarius overtone is the first Air overtone after 3.5 years of Fire and Water overtones, so it is a big switch from right-brained to left-brained collective thinking, which in combination with the proximity of the solar eclipse& the Neptune conjunction may help to further explain the intensity of this particular Mercury cycle.]

Mercury Phase & the Solar Eclipse in Aquarius

 I want to float a certain theory here. I’ve had several calls about people who had major decisions to make, like selling a business or making a major commitment of some kind… I think that with reference to the other cycles taking place, the solar eclipse on the 6th, there’s a distinct turning point in the Mercury retrograde cycle as if to divide the Mercury retrograde into two totally distinct phases: the time periods before and after the conjunction.

I’ve been quite optimistic to people that if there’s other people involved in their question, that if the other people are able to get the work done & are clear in their intent, that after the conjunction on Feb. 6th, there’s no problem with full speed ahead.

CAYELIN: And especially once Mercury rises as the morning star, which is Feb. 11th

DANIEL: So that time period is not a problem. Of course if you’re trying to make something happen yourself, you could encounter the problems and challenges of working with other people. But if you’re selling your business and the other people have to get everything in line in order to make it happen, and everything is in alignment & harmony with your intent, there’s no problem in taking the action to make that commitment, as long as it’s after the conjunction. That’s my sense of it at this point. The date is Feb. 6-7. That places it with the solar eclipse and new moon.

CAYELIN: This eclipse series is connected to 1962 when all the planets aligned in Aquarius, which was the precursor to the changes of the 60s. So here we are again. At that particular time, it was all the visible planets lined up. Now, we have Chiron (50-year cycle), Neptune (150-year cycle), and the North Node (19 year cycle) showing up there. So this is a really rare alignment, all being activated. This eclipse is a significant activation of Aquarian energies.

DANIEL: The dreams, visions and ideals of the 60s still live. With all these major players in Capricorn at the same time. I have 4 or 5 charts in my files of people who were born during those few days when 7 planets including the Moon were in Aquarius, in early 1962.

CAYELIN: On Feb. 17th, Venus enters Aquarius. So then we’ll have Venus, Chiron, Mercury, Neptune, North Node, Sun and Vesta all in Aquarius. So we’ve got a huge lineup. Around that time, Sun & North Node are conjunct.

DANIEL: It seems like a cosmic celestial seeding of the Aquarian vision into Capricorn, as Capricorn is being challenged on all sides to transform itself.

CAYELIN: That’s all in the eclipse cauldron. Something big is cooking.

DANIEL: With Mars in the final month of preparation before the quest.

CAYELIN: Trining a lot of that Aquarius stuff.

QUESTION: Does this seem like personal energy or community energy?

DANIEL: Community. This is communal, collective, transpersonal, universal energy.

Capricorn is earth-based collective and Aquarius is collective but connected to the celestial. So, it’s revolutionary.

Jupiter-Saturn Trine

It occurs to me to also mention a primary theme, on the 2008 cd that Cayelin & I made, (Now available, it supports the school so please consider buying it)

One of the highlights was the Earth-Middle World support, because of the trine of Jupiter and Saturn in Earth Signs, and the idealism I have about that is that if our actions, our objective activities in the world, are aligned with the intent of the Circle of Grandmothers and the Earth herself, Gaia, there will support from the Creator, from Great Mystery. It’s truly a series of symbols that support taking action, and not simply putting it off & imagining it as a dream, but a time to experience the support of right action in alignment with universal intent.

CAYELIN: I was just reading in ISAR newsletter, someone was talking all of the things that have been written about Pluto going into Capricorn and the negative things about that, and so many people are reading this and focusing on the negative, and “are we going to create that?” was one of the questions. So I’m just appreciating what you brought up, because if we look at “what’s the intent?” and how do we engage that in a positive way and energize that, it’s an important contribution we have to make at this time to counterbalance some of the gloom & doom that’s been out there.

DANIEL: And it’s also an invitation to see whether this idealism is supported by what we for years have discerned to be the intent of something like a trine between Jupiter and Saturn. I don’t know how many charts I’ve done of individuals over the years who have Jupiter trine Saturn. And I’m jealous! These are individuals who have the right relationship with the material plane… so why don’t we get in harmony with that, test it out, and see whether or not if we take action in alignment with our original intent that there’s actually support from the Grandmothers and the Earth herself, in an objective way. Remember, Jupiter & Saturn are not celestial or underworld. So, it’s just an invitation to have the confidence to move forward and present yourself in your truth.

QUESTION: I think the idea of intention is very important. We focus on the intention we want to create. With Pluto standing right at the entry to the Cardinal Signs, the Moon really has a big impact, as it makes an aspect to Pluto, especially in the Cardinal Signs. I heard a lot of people having difficult days yesterday….I felt just really aligned with intention and purpose and reminded in so many ways that I have to stay focused on what I want to create. What is my vision? Because if Pluto in Capricorn’s really going to help us…

CAYELIN: That’s a really good point…when the Moon goes into Taurus it completes the grand trine and over the year as planets go into Taurus they will be energizing that Earth Trine as well.

DANIEL: That also reminds me that I mentioned in the middle of February, the Moon & Mars will be together at the galactic edge, bringing together what the experience is now with when we were there at the solstice, both being between the horns of the Bull.

On the night of Saturday Feb. 2nd, the Moon is at the galactic center, 0 Capricorn, just before the new moon. So it will actually be visible, the tiny crescent moon at galactic center. The other one of the lunar standstill windows, this coming month…

So there are numerable events coming up this month for ceremony, awe, wonder and connection to As Above, So Below.

QUESTION: I enjoyed seeing the Venus-Jupiter alignment out my window, how close they are in declination…

DANIEL: The closeness in declination is what allows it to be the closest conjunction between the two of them until 2014. The final thought is that Mercury retrograde notwithstanding, that time period following the solar eclipse, given that it’s a NN solar eclipse, it’s truly a full-speed ahead time to experimentally work with whether or not the idealism of intent that exists in this school is actually able to connect with objective reality. The chances are very strong that it can be. You know, there’s plenty of times we can have ideals & believe we’re in alignment with intent, but there’s a delay. But the Jupiter-Saturn trine is a time period that we can get fairly immediate response.

QUESTION: I was thinking that Jupiter is actually kicking off a 12 year cycle of expansion into a New Capricorn. A New Capricorn truth, and 12 year, kick that in in 2008, and take it around the circle for a new energy and structure in the whole show, here.

DANIEL: That’s an interesting contribution because then, 12 years later, in 2020, Pluto will still be in Capricorn and Jupiter will be coming around to go through Capricron again, and we’ll have a Pluto-Jupiter conjunction in Capricorn in 2020.

QUESTION: That’s a Pluto Return for the United States, that should be pretty powerful. So to think of this in that context, we’re working on a New Capricorn energy over the next 12 years, is a different look at it in terms of intent, practice and patience.

DANIEL: It’s either the maturation of the original intent of the USA, in the sense of Aquarius as a revolutionary egalitarian experiment, or it’s complete destruction. In other words, the Aquarian transmissions right now are saying it’s got to really be what you said it was, it can’t be anything else.

QUESTION: With all that divine feminine energy on the 3rd and 4th it should be interesting to see what happens on Super Tuesday.

CAYELIN: I think it’s really strong with the Venus-Jupiter connection up through the eclipse on the 6th. Plus we’ll have the Mercury-Sun conjunction during that eclipse as well. Very powerful!

Aug 12 2007 Night Sky Update and Teaching with Daniel and Cayelin

The transcription of August 12 teleconference call failed to record. Therefore, we are providing a list of events happening this month and then a transcript from a call Paula had with Daniel that recapped the information.

This month and next (August and September 2007) we have a combination of powerful cosmological events occurring. We are truly in a time of intense experiences that support any shape shifting required to move more fully into a new paradigm at this Turning of the Ages.

There are many symbols of the Turning of the Ages including the precession of Solstices and Equinoxes. Cayelin gave a clear explanation of the difference between signs and constellations on the conference call. She explained that the Signs are seasonal based on the time of year and are related to our seasonal experience. For example zero Aries marks the spring Equinox and is an archetype that reflects the rapid growth taking place in that season. Each sign is linked to its seasonal experience that happens every year, year after year for thousands of years. It helps to remember that the Earth is going through her own evolutionary changes and the planet despite our human efforts based in the idea that we have any ability to change the course of what is happening.

Phone interview with Daniel on August 14, 2007

Paula: Can you please explain what is Neolithic Astrology?

Daniel: One of the projects of Shamanic Astrology is to go back to the roots and the original transmissions that existed way before Hellenistic and the Medieval astrology. I have always been interested in what can be called Neoarchaic or Neolithic astrology or the way the sky was worked with in a shamanic way 5,0000 – 6,000 years ago. I have been collating and integrating everything I can find from that time period and this is one of the reasons why I am so interested in going to Scotland and Ireland where I believe those transmissions are still alive. For example, at Callanish in the outer Hebrides of Scotland, the alignment of the three main summer stars of the summer triangle is where they put the stones in one of the many stone circles found there. The same thing is true about where the Hopi Mesas are located and basically orientated toward the constellation of the sacred hoop.

What we discovered all over Ireland, was the existence of the old tradition where so much of the landscape is orientated to the great figure in the sky now called Orion but was called the “High Man” in that time period. This discovery provides us with an additional cross check for the end and beginning of the 26,000 year cycle. This is because it relates to the rising of the Sun in during different seasons in the constellation of the High Man, or Orion, who is holding the Sun in his hand at certain points, or seasons, within the 26,000 year cycle. Currently, the Summer Solstice point is in the hand of Orion, located at the origin point or the entrance point into this dimension. Cayelin was mentioning one of the great stars, the eye of the Bull, Aldebaran, as being a key to the entrance gate also known as the Silver Gate.

Paula: Can you please explain the Silver Gate and the Golden Gate?

Daniel: The royal star of Antares near Galactic Center is at the exit gate or Golden Gate. The entrance gate or the Silver gate is a major part of the old tradition in Scotland and Ireland, including New Grange and other sites. For example, on the landscape including the old mound structures, there is a circular mound that has a cross in it. This suggests to me that it represents the circle of stars with the cross being the plane of the galaxy and plane of the solar system and their stories about this refer to two different transmission.

There were the original people who were there known as the Megalithic builders or the Neolithic culture who were there originally. They built the mounds in alignment with the landscape as it relates to the sky. This was about 6000 to 6500 years ago when the Spring Equinox was in the hand on the “High Man”. Later the Celtic people arrived, when the cross-quarter of Beltane was located there and a different culture came into being. There are a lot of pre-Celtics Myths about the Turning of the Ages that relate to the activation of the solar gates appearing in the hand of the High Man.

Paula: Where did you get the theory about the Winter Solstice point at 0 degree Capricorn indicating that we are at the” Turning of the Ages”.

Daniel: This has to do with the galactic alignment or the crossing point of the ecliptic and the Milky Way or galactic plane as being a central Calendric device in the sky. I recommend all Shamanic Astrologers study the work of John Major Jenkins who took this way beyond me. He has done the extensive research on it from the Mayan perspective as well as deciphering the original Christian iconography of the cross. The cross represents where the two planes (the ecliptic and the Milky Way) cross each other. This happened in May of 1998 according to the calculations of astronomer John Meeus and this is the foundation of the Turning of the Ages material.

One of things I am researching now is the original Myths of pre Celtic Ireland and the connection of people coming up from India and the Mediterranean. According to my research so far, the Celtic invasion really spoiled the existing cultures. The Celtic material is filled with blood-gutting, war and killing of the feminine, but the tradition before that is much different. One of the traditions is that of the SILVER BRANCH. In essence this is about seeing things the way they truly are. From this perspective there is no reference to the rational mind, no attachment to it. It is about being literally, totally and completely in the present moment.

Paula: This is very important information.

Daniel: Yes, the idea here is at the last quarter turn of the wheel (6500 years ago) the Vernal Equinox was located in the hand of the heroic High Man. The people who were considered to be heroes of the culture at that time were individuals who were bringing the message of the Silver Branch, or the message of the magic of being in the present moment.

Paula: It seems then the message was clearly before its time. This culture and this message got annihilated much like Jesus and his message, or maybe they chose to move on as empowered creators.

Daniel: Exactly. And now the hand of Orion is at the Summer Solstice point so we have another whole
take about what is happening with the Lunar Standstill as it actually annihilates any attempt to understand what we normally do. It forces us to be completely in the present moment, like any good underworld experience will do.

Additional Note – this is what all sentient beings of planet Earth and Earth herself have been experiencing the last two years during the Lunar Standstill Season.

Paula: Wow so this is a huge initiation for the Planet.

Daniel: Yes, in my opinion, the biggest one since the time that is historically referred to as the “Dawning of Civilization” because we do not have written records prior to this time.

The Megalithic and Neolithic builders did not have a written language. However, their language was very obvious, once you can begin to tune into it, as far as what they were doing with their massive “as above so below” projects.

Paula: I see then this is a key time, what we might call the Heart of the Turning of the Ages.

Daniel: Yes, this initiation should be taken seriously. What we had talked about on Sunday’s call concerning the alignment of the four Royal Stars with four of the visible planets and the Moon this month is unbelievably rare. August and September 2007 is a turning point or a tipping point in this grand shift of the ages.

Paula: Can you list for us the events that are the determinants of why you would refer to these two months as the “tipping point.”

Daniel : First we have the movement of Saturn into the sign of Virgo, and how that connects with the movement of the sign of Virgo over Regulus that will occur in 2012. Additionally, in August, 2007 we have all three of the four Royal Stars in conjunction with planets including Mars conjunct Aldebaran, Saturn and Venus conjunct Regulus, Jupiter stationing direct exactly conjunct Antares and the fourth royal star known as Fomalhaut in Piscis Austrinus is conjunct the Moon during the total Lunar Eclipse.

The Royal Stars have been traditionally linked with monumental events of drastic change when the Solstice or Equinox points have aligned with these stars. Now a similar phenomenon is taking place although the stars are not exactly at the Solstice or Equinox coordinates, but the fact that there are so many planets located with these stars this month alerts us to the importance of the changes now taking place..

Also as we consider the Turning of the Ages we now we have three cross checks. The first is the Summer Solstice Sun at the hand of the High Man, the Winter Solstice represented by the dark Rift of the Milky Way showing the birth of a new Sun right at Galactic Center, and the Pleiades conjunction with the Sun and opposition to the Sun during the Sun’s passage over the zenith point (in May and November) at a specific latitude twice each year marking the days of “no shadows”. Of course it hardly needs to be said this alignment is also happening now.

Paula: Can you explain how the current Mars synodic cycle ties into the Silver Branch legend?

Daniel: If we look at the Silver Branch as being associated with the Turning of Ages when the “High Man” is holding the Solstice or Equinox point in his hand then the Silver Branch is associated the with the hand of the High Man inside the Sacred Hoop. The Summer Solstice is there Now.

Paula: Yet another amazing clue.

Daniel: On Sunday when Cayelin mentioned the Silver Gate is the fixed star Aldebaran and Aldebaran is located inside the Scared Hoop we realized that this is where Mars is traversing over the next several months due to its retrograde. And when we consider that Mars will be with the Full Moon (2 Cancer) during the Dec 2007 Winter Solstice just as Mars is beginning its next 26 month cycle we know this is of the utmost importance. Mars will be right with the Moon and what I am now proposing, is the Silver Branch is another feature of the astounding intensity of the Winter Solstice time (Dec 21) when Jupiter, Pluto, and the Sun are at Galactic center and Mars is with the Full Moon at the Silver Branch or the Summer Solstice area at the Galactic Edge on Dec 23.

Paula: Explain the significance of this last New Moon. (Aug 12) It appears everything, in these last few months, have been leading up to this climatic phase.

Daniel: Yes, including this lunation. Plus we have Saturn moving into Virgo (Sept 02) along with the list of events from Sunday’s call, and the larger drama of the shift from the Leo Mysteries to the Virgo Mysteries.

Paula: It appears this new Venus Cycle in Leo is extremely significant at this time. Particular since many of the ones who are part of this one have Virgo as their natal overtone.

Daniel: Yes and Saturn moving into Virgo is about the reality of truly serving the people or in essence to be the true king, you have to marry the land. Venus is currently rising in late Leo, although until recently in this synodic expression of Venus her heliacal rise was Virgo. The sign of Virgo is where Venus rose for about 104 years. So it is really the same overtone, Virgo and Leo, and this is happening right on the boundary between the two. It is important to remember we are not talking about a shift from Patriarchy to Matriarchy. This is not about women continuing to buy into the idea that to be in their power they must beat men at their own game.

Another important factor when the Virgo mysteries are in evidence is that the Earth becomes of greatest importance and this will bring up a lot of fear in men because they personalize the women rather than going directly to the Earth herself . This is the celestial realm grounded in the whole Earth Gaia version of the feminine. This is not an issue of personal love, but an issue of being grounded and held by the Mother herself.

Paula: It appears were entering into a very tumultuous time.

Daniel: It is very important at this time to hold all three worlds at the same time. Therefore, when any event transpires there are three perspectives to consider. The celestial world (that can be light polarized), the Underworld (that exposes the shadow), and This World or Middle World where it is all taking place in the world of Form or in objective reality. This can look like economic collapse, war, dislocation, basically the stuff that happens in people’s objective reality. This is a time that is about surrender and annihilation. This coincides with the transmission from the Silver Branch and being in the present moment in all three worlds simultaneously.

Further examples from each of the three realms:

Celestial – This is the realm where we have the chance to move into the 5th or 12th dimension or a variety of other paradigms.
Underworld– This is the realm where at the end of time and end of everything our deepest fears surface.

Middle World – People who are hanging on to their objective reality find there is no security there what-so-ever.

Paula: How does fear play into this script?

Daniel: Fear is the bottom line of everything. What all the advanced teachers who take in all three worlds into consideration are saying is when you get into the understanding of the basic duality of life it always boils down to two things – Fear and Love.

Paula: It appears that fear is what is up and running at this time.

Daniel: The middle world is run by fear.

Paula: Explain more about the shift from Leo to Virgo.

Daniel: It actually ends the sort of vanity that sometimes happens when human beings believe they are responsible for saving the world because we screwed it up. That is true on a lot of levels, however, the Goddess, the Mother has her own natural cycles.

Paula: Mother Earth is not doing anything abnormal and we as a human race have to live in harmony with her, by dropping our need to control the changes by subduing our false self ( the immature version of Leo) in order to embrace Mother Earth Gaia.

Daniel: I have to emphasize that Virgo is not simply Earth herself. It is her emanations that pattern the night sky.

Paula: Explain the August 28th Lunar Eclipse.

Daniel: It is important for people to have some historical perspective: This is the same eclipse cycle that occurred in 1989. It is an extremely long and major North Node eclipse that is opening up the gates for the new Virgo to come through. It certainly will stir up some shadow, but it is more progressive than a South Node Lunar Eclipse. It is a fore shadowing of the movement of Saturn into Virgo occurring a few days later. The Moon is at 4 degree Pisces near the North Node and the Sun is near Saturn at the South Node.

Therefore, the transmission will be coming through Saturn at the South Node. That is the shadow aspect portion that may be experienced. In other words, at the North Node, we are getting the transmission from the fixed star Fomalhaut who is taking in the celestial waters that are going into the mouth of the fish. To me it is a hopeful thing.

Paula: It is hopeful, yet Saturn is on the South Node.

Daniel: Right. Saturn on the South Node refers to basically everything over the last 3000 yrs that have blocked the teaching of the Silver Branch.

In my opinion, the North Node at Fomalhaut has something to do with original transmission of original Christianity, The synthesis of Aquarius and Pisces, the egalitarian and universal, and the Quan Yin version of Love: compassion without attachment.

Paula: Explain the Mercury Venus conjunction in the underworld.

Daniel: When Mercury is on the other side of the Sun, (exterior conjunct) then it is in Council with the Celestial this is what we call the universal underworld. It is off the world stage and in council with the Sun, as is Saturn at this time. Meanwhile, Venus is on the inside track (interior conjunct) doing her major shape-shift.

Paula: Will Venus be able to access the Mercury and Saturn transmission with the Sun between them?

Daniel: This is hard to answer because this is the most secret point of the Venus cycle. She needs to be undisturbed, but I would assume any planet in the inside track or the outside track is doing a complete merge with Great Mystery as represented by the Sun. We have to realize that Saturn and Mercury are in council with the stars and the Sun also. So I would think that would have an impact on how Venus is doing her shape-shifting.

Venus is in the underworld but she is also with the Sun. That is why the underworld imagery is paradoxical. You can not see it from the Earth, because the planet is blinded by the light of the Sun. This is a different expression and understanding of the underworld. It is not something that is just dark, rather it is something so bright that at certain point it is beyond being completely black or completely white. You are overwhelmed. In other words, being blinded by the light is like being in the cave with no light at all. Also when she rises as a morning star, she is a masculine warrior as seen by the Mayans who would time their battles when Venus rose as a morning star.

In summery, this lunation is absolutely critical. This is the tipping point or the turning point regarding the transformation from Leo to Virgo. Even the symbolism of Venus rising in the sign of Leo is right smack in the middle between Virgo and Leo. Some planets are going in one direction from Leo to Virgo, but with the movement of the pentacles of Venus it is going the other direction, as further demonstrated by Venus stationing retrograde in Virgo and moving back to Leo.

The Lunar Standstill windows are a time of maximum stretching and intensity that are occurring 6 days out of every month when the moon travels through the area of:

15 Gemini to 15 Cancer with 0 Cancer as the center point—- This is aligned with the Summer Solstice Window and is associated with the gateway where new creation enters this realm from the point of the galactic edge.

15 Sagittarius to 15 Capricorn with 0 Capricorn at the center point—–This is aligned with the Winter Solstice Window and is the place where we experience the die off of the old forms. Letting go, sometimes being forced to let go of old stuff.

June 14 – June 16 – Moon at Summer Solstice Window – 3 days surrounding 0 Cancer
This is stretching us to new territory, into places we have not been before. It is the place of incoming possibilities where experiences and activities are new and beyond what we have ever experienced before.

June 28 – 30 Moon in Capricorn :Winter’s Solstice Window- 3 days surrounding 0 Capricorn Stretching us to let go of where we may still have holding patterns in the area of our personality. This has to do with where we may being doing business as usual and encountering challenges as a result that make it impossible to hold on to the old identity.

This Summer Solstice also features:

1. A Mercury Retrograde Cycle from June 15- July 9, 2007

The turning point of this cycle where a new Mercury cycle begins is June 28 when the Sun and Mercury are conjunct at 7 Cancer. Three times a year Mercury transforms (or mutates) into a different of expression of mind, cognition, perception, and communication. Mercury symbolizes for the world how things will be perceived and communicated.

This year Mercury is operating in the Mystery Schools of Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. These are Feeling Function signs. It is important to note that we are talking about feelings as something different than emotions. It is our response to pressure and stress that describes emotions.

Emotion vs. Feeling. The Feeling function experiences the events of life through the “lens of value”. Mercury retrograde in Cancer is not about more emotion, but deeply considering what our values are through the feelings.

In the recent movie “The Secret”, there is not a distinction made between the emotions and feelings. Their premise is to just do what feels good. This isn’t necessarily helpful if emotions are driving our actions and decisions. In this case then we are dealing with a complex that operates from deficiencies and insecurity.

When what we value from a deep internal place is driving our actions and decisions, then the law of attraction works consistently and completely every time. What we are trying to present here in this Mercury Retrograde time period is there will be a test for global humanity to operate from the feelings, valuing the world family and treating everyone as if they are our own kin, even if their values do not exactly match the ideals we hold.

2. Saturn Neptune Opposition- 3 phases of the last year. On June 25 we have the final stand off of Saturn (22 Leo) and retrograde Neptune (22 Aquarius) in a series of oppositions that began last August.

These are two outer planets that do not move into opposition very often and this is a combination that is among the most challenging to understand.

Saturn vs. Neptune:

Saturn represents the laws, the rules, the regulations, objective reality, the “real world” which has been rapidly changing. The last few thousand years Saturn has been run by a father god that was built on guilt and shame (and subjugating the feminine). When Saturn moves into Virgo the whole circuit between deficiency and perfectionism, and new law is what the Saturn movement into Virgo will be about. [Can this be worded more clearly? I don’t understand it and am having trouble re-wording it – Cathie]

Saturn in Leo opposing Neptune in Aquarius represents the old laws, the old rules, the old holding patterns (such as holding onto the forms of privilege and elitism) in a standoff against the principle of Neptune.

Neptune is the mystical, the universal, the non-objective reality, not the real world, beyond this reality, in the sign of Aquarius. Neptune in Aquarius is the highest level of compassion with ability to sense into the suffering and sorrow of others while also having the larger framework and giving individuals permission to be in the predicament or situation they are experiencing.

On an individual and personal level, this represents the battle between the real world:

• How can I make money?
• How can I pay the bills?
• How can I be involved in a world that demands form and structure, and at the same time maintain my dreams, visions, and ideals?

If we were only experiencing Neptune, we could all go to India, or to the mountain top.

If we were only experiencing Saturn, we could all work 20 hours a day and get good results.
However, when Neptune and Saturn are in opposition, somehow we have to figure out an alchemy beyond what we have ever experienced before that helps us to live in both places at the same time.

Many in the Shamanic Astrology Mystery School are individuals who combine both of these features. The Saturn qualities of structure, the old man or old woman with the rules, the senex, elder knowledge that knows how things work, and the Neptune qualities of the dreamer, the eternal youth, the idealist, wide-eyed naiveté that may not operate successfully in this world, but rather operates or has meaning only in the mystical transcendent realm.

On June 25 this alignment is exact and fully active right in the summer solstice window, suggesting a time for some kind of reconciliation of these contradictory forces.

Cayelin: On the heels of the lunar Standstill New Moon window June 14 – 16 at the galactic edge… the crescent Moon meets first with Venus then Saturn then Regulus. Venus is on its way to meet up with Saturn at end of June. June 30 to July 1 Saturn and Venus are within less than 1 degree of each other and will be nearly touching at the end of the month. The Sky and Telescope website has a visual posted there and there is a visual posted on the Timings page of the Shamanic Astrology website.

Antares and Regulus are the featured stars this year. I will share more about Regulus next month. We just had the Full Moon with Antares on May 31. Antares is the heart of the Scorpion and is located at 9 degrees 52 minutes of Sagittarius. Jupiter will station direct in exact zodiacal alignment within about 4 minutes of Antares on August 6, 2007 at 9 degrees 56 minutes of Sagittarius.

This year, 2007, we have six occultations of the Moon over Antares that occurs only during the Lunar Standstill season. The next occultations of Antares are on June 28, July 25 and Nov 11 2007.

The Moon occults Antares in what astronomers call the Major Lunar Standstill and Aldebaran when the Lunar Standstill reaches its opposite point a.k.a. the Minor Lunar Standstill. These occultations occur over about a five year period surrounding the exact center point of the Standstill Time.

Daniel: The Ancient Babylonians fixed on those two stars (Aldebaran and Antares) also known as Royal Stars and now we see there is a connection to the Lunar Standstill cycle moon.

Cayelin: Jupiter is currently is retrograding back to Antares and Vesta has been also crossing over Antares. Vesta will again be conjunct Antares on August 26. So the full range of this Timing is from January to August 2007.

Antares, a.k.a. Alpha Scorpii, marks the heart of the Scorpion and is a fascinating fixed star for many reasons. It was one of the four royal stars of Persia, considered Watcher of the West and also linked with Archangel Uriel. It is also one of four stars found closest to the Ecliptic; the others include Aldebaran, Spica, and Regulus. It is because Antares is so close to the Ecliptic that it can be occulted by the Moon, and during the years of the Lunar Standstill, the Moon occults Antares often.

Antares is also one of 15 Behenian fixed stars considered especially useful for magical applications in the medieval astrology of Europe and the Arab world. The root word of Behenian derives from the Arabic word “bahman” which means “root.” The Behenian stars were considered a source of astrological power when one or more planets were conjunct. Each Behenian star is also connected with a ritual gemstone and plant that was used to help draw upon the star’s influence (e.g., into a talisman). Heinrich Cornelius Agrippa (1486-1535), an influential renaissance writer, gives us another perspective of how Antares was worked with in times past:
“The thirteenth is called the Heart of the Scorpion, under which, amongst stones, is the sardonius, and amethyst; amongst plants long aristolochy and saffron.” Three Books of Occult Philosophy Bk. I, Chapter 32, (Tyson ed.) page 99. He also says: “Under the Heart of Scorpio (Antares) they made the image of a man armed, and with a coat of mail, or the figure of a scorpion; it giveth understanding and memory, it maketh a good colour, and aideth against evil spirits, and driveth them away, and bindeth them.” Three Books of Occult Philosophy Bk. Antares is similar to the influence of Mars and Jupiter, and has been linked with success and good fortune, as well as danger and malevolence. Many of the fixed stars are well known for their shadow expressions. Naturally, every aspect in this world has a seemingly dual nature or shadow side. That is because every aspect in our experience, whether in nature or in the heavens, is a part of who we are. It is up to us to choose how we engage these energies. Antares does have the potential for great power when used wisely with Integrity and Heart. However, if a person is accessing Antares for power over others, then ultimately, these energies will backfire, causing their downfall.

That is why it is important to always come from a place of integrity and heart when working with these energies.

Daniel: Some definitions of Antares say it means rival with Mars or anti-ares. There are certain Mars cycles where Mars and Antares are in the sky together and ancient cultures would measure the nature of the time line based on whether Mars was brighter than Antares.

The old meaning of Mars was connected to its warlike [warlike] nature. We are now transmuting that meaning into something else so we are not operating from a place of value control or a point of war. Rather this is the time to imagine the alchemical rather then secular aspect of Jupiter with Antares.

Cayelin: Working with the magical nature of Antares as a star for manifesting our intention is especially powerful over these next few months.

Daniel: Those whose motives are not operating from a place of “value” could certainly use the Jupiter placement with Antares for manifesting control and power over others…a point of war. This is the secular aspect of this magical placement for manifestation and it is important for us to imagine the alchemical aspect rather than the secular aspect.

Cayelin: The fixed star, Antares, has definitely been connected to war imagery. Indeed, there is a dual nature to all the stars and archetypes. If we choose to engage and work with the heart energies of Antares, as it is the heart of the Scorpion constellation, from a place of conscious awareness, we currently have the potential to do really great and wonderful things.

The June Solstice

Daniel: The Cancer Sun at the time of the solstice. Cancer is feeling function sign and it is associated with Value. We now have the ability to bring or energize the value of something as opposed to controlling it or gaining power over it.

Paula: Can you define the word Value?

Daniel: The Law of Attraction, as understood in Shamanic Astrology, occurs in the same way that magic happens, and that is when three things are in alignment:

1. Right timing – currently it is aspect of Jupiter conjunct Antares
2. Having your tools together and skills set in place. (What you are working on this life)
3. When what you are intending, what you are desiring and wanting is in accordance with original intent.

As opposed to emotional wanting which is not aligned with (core) value. An illustration of this is:

In the late sixties there was a college student questionnaire that asked: What is it you value the most?
19% said being rich, and the rest or highest percentage said being involved with community service, world peace and raising consciousness. This year the same college student questionnaire was given and 81% said what they value the most is being rich.

Other examples of what one values are wanting to take care of family, the value of seeing the whole world as your family — global family —- caring and aiding one another through the path of heart, as opposed to intending through emotional content which does not necessarily have value associated with it.

We have a great advantage of knowing Shamanic Astrology to the extent that we do, and having a sense of knowing of what our individual original intent is…and we can only speculate what the intent of Great Mystery is. We can be part of it and in harmony with it… and that is what we are intending to do by looking at the cycles at this window of Summer Solstice.

It is important that we form a dialogue and connection, essentially take our place on the wheel of life, in between, as above, so below, and participate with the unfolding Great Mystery.

Venus / Moon Cycle – 7th chakra gate in Leo is occurring on the evening of June 17 and 18

Cayelin: And Venus is on its way to meet with Saturn and Regulus. Regulus is the heart of the lion and a star about Leadership.

Daniel: This is time for stepping forward as creator…. Step up to the plate and create what we want (aligned with spirit). It is true leadership representing the king archetype in both men and women. Sir Francis Gardner recently stated that original kingship is first and foremost [foremost] to serve the people and second, to be a model for the best qualities in being a human being to the people.

Cayelin: Again this year we have two heart Stars being featured; the heart of the Scorpion, Antares, and the heart of the Lion, Regulus. Staying attuned to our own heart’s desire, heart knowing and guidance while working from the heart energy is very important.

Daniel: Yes especially when considering Antares and Regulus were centrally important stars at the last quarter turn of the Turning of the Ages 5,000- 6,000 yrs ago. Those stars marked the seasons and the cardinal directions.

Cayelin: And now Regulus is located at 29 degrees 55 minutes of Leo and Antares 9 degrees 52 minutes in Sagittarius are stars that lie closest to the ecliptic. Regulus is also a Behenian star whose stone is granite and plant is mugwort.

Daniel: Topics we will discuss more in-depth in the coming months include the arrival of Jupiter with Pluto in Sagittarius at Galactic Center; Venus rising as a morning star beginning a New Venus Cycle; and Mars also beginning a new cycle in December.

Mars Cycle
The current Mars cycle that began in Taurus reaches its “Maturity and Elder Knowledge” phase.
June 24 in the Summer solstice window is when Mars enters Taurus.
Sept 28 Mars enters Cancer the sign of its new cycle that will begin in December.

Daniel Speculates:

The movement of Mars into Taurus represents the higher archetypal truth in the masculine principle of Taurus for both men and women. It is a higher octave for elder wisdom. Taurus, masculine, now has the ability to experience the garden without the fall, to appreciate, savor, and value intimacy. This is also about valuing the pleasure of life and Epicureanism in a good way, and being Involved in life without the need to accomplish or achieve. It is about savoring and enjoying what it is to be alive. As stated in True Shamanism:

I give thanks that I am a human being and I give thanks to be alive and enjoy this place.

The shadow side of Taurus is to eat, drink and be merry because tomorrow we are going to die. It is the greedy accumulation to get as much as possible motivated from a place of fear and lack.

It would be Interesting to do research on the late 1920’s and early 1930’s. Disparity between those who had and those who had not and the right-wing Republicanism, not caring about the future and not caring about the seven generations to follow.

Out of greed and out of insecurity, people try to grab onto as much as possible. This is not the true intent of Mars in Taurus and when we work with the intention we can energize and align with the ability to be present in the moment enjoying and appreciating what life offers.

Over the next few months, Mars will continue to get brighter and brighter. All of this activity is a precursor for the next great Mars cycle in Cancer which will be a couple of days after the Winter Solstice.

Mars will then begin its journey in Cancer having to do with the global family situation. The possibility is for providing and receiving nourishment as a world family. This is similar to Mercury retrograde in Cancer in the Summer Solstice window. The next Mars cycle the begins at Winter Solstice further energizing the Cancer archetype. This is the time to put our attention on the intent of the larger process, moving toward the vision and ideals we have all held for so long. By being in communication with spirit, the opportunity is to figure out some way that the greatest number of people can experience their soul’s intent.

At the Winter Solstice window:
1. Jupiter opposes Mars
2. Mars opposes Sun in Capricorn
3. Jupiter and Pluto conjunct the Sun

Cayelin: Also Mercury as the messenger will be in late degrees of Sagittarius and early Capricorn bringing through the new messages about what we are birthing now.

Daniel: We have quite a drama leading us to the Winter Solstice that is getting another activation with the Summer Solstice.

So what is the summer solstice about???

If you think about the seasonal calendar, the Summer Solstice is maximum light just before it begins to diminish. It also happens to be associated with Cancer. High summer is a time of growth and expansion and it is a time when the Sun is at the galactic edge. It is an opportunity to birth and bring in experiences we have never had before,

This is especially true for those in alignment with Value that is greater than our individual story. If the Human experiment cannot happen as a whole, then it is very difficult to happen individually. That is why we are all in this together.

Cayelin: The declination of the Sun reaches 23 degrees on June 11 and stays at 23 degrees (near its furthest northern appearance) until the end of the month.

Daniel: This is not just the typical three day Solstice Window, and therefore corresponds with the Lunar Standstill that is occurring two times this month.

June 14 -16 – Lunar standstill surrounding 0 degree Cancer- Summer Solstice point in the sky currently aligned with the galactic edge

June 28 – Mercury conjunct the Sun in Cancer

Daniel’s Further Thoughts about Mars in Taurus

The social/ political ramifications of Mars in Taurus in the window of Elder Knowledge:

This may well be a time for those who believe they are a mature elder in their group to do whatever [whatever] possible to expose any corruption within that group. This would be last gasp from the negative perspective of Saturn moving through Leo expressing the entrenched belief that we are the special ones, and as we as the special blood line, have the authority to rule over others, and how dare we be exposed because we are in charge? This is opposed to others who will see Saturn through Leo as an opportunity to help us realize and express our divinity. Then Jupiter stations direct in alignment with Antares. This [can be used for whatever intention around our values we are desiring to manifest and is also an amazing symbol to mobilize the shadow side of Antares and the Scorpion.

Cayelin …and guaranteed to backfire if someone is operating from the shadow of these energies, ultimately causing their downfall. Thus, corruption will be exposed!
